Peanut- A Mature Kitty Happy Tail!

Heidi and Family added 13 Year Old Peanut to their home in August 2012. Peanut had been with CVHS for over 3 months! They CHOSE to add a “mature” kitty to their home, and they have been so happy with their new addition. Her vet check up went well, and Peanut is loving the home that she can now call her own. ADOPTION

Here is the basic outline of the adoption process:

1. Meet the Animals and an Adoption Counselor
2. Complete an Adopter Information Form and Meet Your Match Survey
3. Confirm a good match* and complete adoption paperwork
4. Take your new friend HOME!

Once a match* has been made, it may take up to an hour to complete the adoption.

*CVHS participates with the ASPCA’s Meet Your Match Program.  Learn more about it by clicking here.

Adoption Fees

Cats
Kittens: $200 (Adopt 2 for $350)
Cats 1-8 years $150
Cats 9+ years: $125

The adoption fee includes:

  • Spay/neuter
  • Rabies vaccination (over 12 weeks)
  • 1st distemper vaccination
  • 1st deworming
  • Flea preventative
  • ID tag
  • Microchip and registration
  • A free 30 day trial of 24PetWatch Pet Health Insurance
  • A coupon toward Hill’s Science Diet food
  • A voucher for a free veterinary exam from the VVMA!
  • (Estimated cost: Over $500!)

Dogs
Puppies: $400 (includes a 6 week training class)
Dogs 1-8 years: $250 (Some dogs will be $350, including a 6 week training class)
Dogs 9+ years: $200
