In February 2010, CVHS moved from Barre Town to Route 14 South in East Montpelier, VT, into a giant new facility! 

In 2009 we purchased Ruby’s Run, previously a boarding facility, and began renovations.  Because the building was mostly a boarding kennel for dogs, we needed to add space for the cats.  This meant an entire new wing added to the existing space.  The cat addition has 3 cat colony rooms with indoor/outdoor porches, an adoption space for rabbits and other small critters, and a meet and greet room where adopters can get to know the animals.

The dog wing also needed some updates.  Bigger and better housing, new paint, and an epoxy floor for easier cleaning and better disease control finished out this exciting renovation.  The building also features radiant floor heating to help keep the dogs comfortable and warm in our cold winters.

Our basement has a training/play area for training classes and exercise in bad weather.  A few new walls upstairs gave us two offices and desk space for our staff.

As soon as renovations were done enough for us to move, move we did!  Our animals love this building–so do the staff, volunteers and visitors!  Now we need your support to help pay for this incredible space.  Please consider a donation today!
